Asean Conflict Watch focuses on independent news and analysis on armed conflict in the region.

It is founded and edited by Malaysia-based conflict journalist Zam Yusa, who broke stories such as on ISIS’s Southeast Asian fighters in Syria during the heyday of the terror group’s now-defunct caliphate, as well as foreign terrorist fighters and their children fighting government troops, much to society’s dismay, during ISIS’s siege of the southern Philippine city of Marawi in 2017.

Zam’s geopolitical reporting has appeared in top news outlets namely The Diplomat, The Defense Post, The New Arab, Akhbar Al Aan, BenarNews, Free Malaysia Today, Daily Express Malaysia and his own niche site, Asean Conflict Watch.
